Voice input, built in

A few weeks ago I wrote about how I stopped typing my journal entries and started dictating them instead. It made the entries more honest. When you talk, you don't self-edit mid-thought. The problem was, it required a separate app. Now it doesn't.

Voice input, built in

Tap the microphone and talk. Your words get transcribed as you speak. Fast, accurate, and entirely on-device using iOS native speech recognition. It works everywhere: your daily reflections, your follow-ups, your coach conversations. No extra app, no subscription, no setup.

If you've tried Apple's keyboard dictation and gave up, this is better. It handles natural speech, longer thoughts, and messy sentences without falling apart. Five minutes of talking replaces ten minutes of typing, and the result is more honest because you're not editing as you go.

Why I built this

Journaling should feel like thinking out loud, not writing an essay. Some of you told me you skip entries because typing at the end of a long day feels like more work. This removes that barrier. Open the app, talk through your three prompts, done.

Try voice for your next reflection, especially if you've been inconsistent. Does talking make it easier to stick with? Hit Settings → Submit Feedback and let me know.
